Join us this summer for an academically rigorous programme in the heart of Prague, modelled on the tutorial-style teaching of Oxford and Cambridge. Led by Joshua, a lecturer from St Paul’s School, students will engage critically with Philosophy, Theology, and Politics through close reading, structured argument, and intensive seminar discussion — while also exploring Prague’s historic streets, cultural landmarks, and a carefully curated programme of social and cultural activities.

Guiding Minds: Our Summer School Team

Dr. Joshua Duclos is the 1923 Endowed Chair of Humanities at St. Paul’s School (USA) and an exceptionally accomplished philosopher and educator. He holds advanced degrees in philosophy from the University of Chicago and Boston University, including a PhD from Boston University. Specializing in value theory, moral and political philosophy, environmental philosophy, and the history of philosophy, Dr. Duclos is an award-winning writer, widely published scholar, and internationally recognized speaker. He is the author of the acclaimed book Wilderness, Morality, and Value and a former Fulbright Scholar to the Czech Republic, with nearly two decades of experience teaching at both the university and secondary levels. His deep intellectual engagement, first-hand familiarity with Prague and Czech culture, and clarity of insight make him ideally suited to guide students through the challenging and rewarding fields of Philosophy, Theology, and Politics.

Dr. Luke Martin is an experienced teacher of theology and humanities at Eton College, holding a PhD from the University of Oxford. He is renowned for inspiring students to think critically, engage with challenging ideas, and articulate their arguments with clarity. With extensive experience guiding young minds through complex questions in ethics, belief, and society, Luke brings both academic excellence and genuine enthusiasm to the programme, making him the ideal overseer for students exploring Philosophy, Theology, and Politics in Prague.
